"The Lord's Prayer"

If you were asked to put the Lord's Prayer into your own words, how would you say it?

It is easy to forget that He is our "Daddy", as well as our God. When we are overwhelmed by our trials, we sometimes find ourselves retreating into the helplessness that we felt as children. Yet, this may not be such a bad thing for us...

... if it reminds us of who He really is...

"Daddy, you are the best dad ever, and I think that you are really wonderful and terrific. I can't wait until we can all come Home to you. I hope that what you want folks to do here, and at Home, will be done just like you wish it to be done. Please make sure that we have enough to eat, a place to stay, and clothes to wear. Please forgive me for when I'm bad and I do things that make you sad, and help me to forgive folk when they do bad things to me. Please guard me from the Enemy and help me to resist doing bad things. If the Enemy attacks, please be there to rescue me and to help me to be good. Amen" [Matthew 6:9b-13]
